Mang Agus, that’s how I used to call him. In my childhood era, I spent years of my life accompanied by him. Plenty of my early childhood experience was coloured by him , including my first experience riding a bicycle that end up in a foolish injury. Talking about mang Agus, he started working with my family in 1985, the year when my parents got married and also the year when I was born. His first duty was to help my Mom and Dad moving our residence from Bandung to Rawamangun.  His new task was apparently more challenging for him, which is to accompany his master’s son- yes, it’s me.

Soon after, he take the chances of marrying one of our servants and started to take a long time devotion to my family. Oddly enough, now he is sitting next to me, in the same office with me, to make a devotion in our firms.  He is our office driver now. His duty is driving Toyota Camry with our Managing Director and CEO. He used to drive me to school, now he is driving top executives to a meeting place. 

My pray with Mang. Hope u have a blessed life and prosperous future (I guess it’s reflected by his belly..hehe).

Pertama kali gw kuliah, gw termasuk orang yang paling pagi dateng ke kampus. Kuliah mulai jam 8, tapi sering banget jam 7 gw uda ada di kampus. I remembered the feeling when you enter FEUI in the midst of morning breeze, you won’t be able to describe it in thousand words.  Gambar ini gw ambil seminggu yang lalu ketika gw ngambil ijazah kelulusan gw, hampir 5 tahun setelah gw pertama kali belajar di FEUI. I still feel the warmth of morning sun though.

Meet Mrs. Aveline Tosin. She is a former analyst in our office and also the one who taught me EVERYTHING I need to know in my office. She is going to Singapore in September to run her family business. I wish our path will cross again in the future. Good luck there Ave.

Meet Ashwani Chodhry, my former mentor. He's in India now, having his surgery. I wish u bunch of good things Ash.

Well, mungkin gw harus nganggep itu sebuah tantangan kali ya, hal yang gw temuin disini adalah kenyataan bahwa setiap hari adalah sebuah hari yang totaly beda dengan hari2 sebelumnya. Gw  kerja di bawah pengawasan langsungama Director gw. Dia turun tangan sendiri untuk bantuin gw bikin model. hehehe..Fyi, kantor gw isiny cuma  4 orang gitu loh (1 Managing Director, 2 Director dan 1 Senior Officer ) , plus 1 sekretaris, 1 OB dan 1 driver. Gw belajar buat multi-tasking. Becoming an investment banker, lawyer, and (sometimes) computer technician at the same time.

Semangat! Mesti ngetik lagi nih.  =)

Assuming that you eat only once a day (lunch only, because the breakfast and dinner is prodived in your home for free), you travel to your office by public transportation (normally it will cost IDR 20.000 for daily round trip rumah-kantor), if you travel using your own car then average daily cost is IDR 74.000 (IDR 22.000 for parking ticket, IDR 40.000 for gasoline, IDR 12.000 for toll road ticket).

My objective is to find the right allocation on how many days  you should drive your own car and how many days  you should use public transportation, given the fact that  sometimes you bring your own luch from home so you can save my money.

Ok, I admit that it was actually a problem that I need to solve right now. Instead of using “I” as a subject, I use “You” as a hypothetical example. Hehehe. Shame on me.

I had to travel to Sulawesi and spent almost 30% of my last month on futsal goals. Guess I should’ve made my new cash flow projections then. My last cash flow projection has turned up to be unrealistic. Vag me.

 Please remember what your lecture in Econ 101 class was, I guess that most of Econs student have studied this. “Economics is the art of choosing the right allocation of our resources effectively and efficiently, given its scarce condition. So how we allocate our resources effectively and efficiently, use the indicator, price. It is the price that determines the appropriate allocation of your resources. It is the price that guarantees your allocation of resources to be an efficient and effective allocation. It is the price. How come you can allocate your resources without involving price as main indicator. You want an example, try this: If the price of a bottle of Coke is expensive, I’ll buy less. If it’s cheap, I’ll buy more. You cannot neglecting the role of price in determining the right allocation of your resources. 

2. (in bahasa)..yang namanya kebijakan itu kan dinamis, tapi lihat dampak kenaikan harga BBM tahun 2005, angka kemiskinan naik.

 As far as I remember, it was the fuel hike in 2005 that saves millions of Indonesian people from severely affected by recent oil hike that was started in late 2007. What would that be if Indonesian are still accustomed to enjoy oil price with pre-2005 level when there is a massive increase of world oil price in 2007? Indonesians will find it very hard to adjust with recent oil price if there is no partial oil hike in September 2005. It was the fuel hike in 2005 that help Indonesians to slowly adjust their consumption level and hence avoid a massive shock in consumption behavior for oil commodity.  

What I think, Purnomo was totally clumsy to give such opinions in Kompas yesterday. He totally screwed our mind up. He really did.

2.       Jadi vokalis band rock gahar yang sedang manggung di festival rock internasional. Nyanyi lagu Addicted to that rush-nya Mr. Big sambil jumpalitan di panggung, teriak-teriak, dengan rambut kribo gw yang dikibas-kibaskan. People will start asking themselves: “Are we watching a rock concert or a dancing toilet brush?”

3.       My third wildest imagination would be imagining myself wearing a retro suit (tight shirt and pants, not to mention its shiny red and yellow motives) , riding a fancy scooter with my hopper glasses and entering my clients board meeting with my baritone voices yelling at them “ Hey ya scumbag, yer financial projection is wrang” in a thick English accent.  I guess my direct supervisor will think that it is completely “wild” for them to hire me.
